Octoba Yoga at BodyHoliday 2025

This is our month dedicated to Mindfulness with Yoga and Meditation

Why I Keep Coming Back to BodyHoliday for Octoba Yoga

If you’re even slightly into yoga—or love the idea of a wellness getaway with a bit more soul—then BodyHoliday’s Octoba Yoga is special. I’ve done a lot of retreats over the years, but nothing quite compares to this.

From the moment you arrive in Saint Lucia, something shifts. The warm breeze, the sound of the waves, the smiling team greeting you like an old friend—your shoulders drop and your whole system exhales. Then the month-long yoga programme kicks in and it’s just… magic.

We’re talking sunrise Hatha on the beach, aerial yoga with views of the Caribbean, paddleboard yoga (yes, it’s as fun as it sounds), proper meditation sessions, and even Tai Chi at sunset. And it’s not just for hardcore yogis. Some guests are here for deep personal wellness—daily practice, mental wellbeing workshops, the full thing. Others (like my partner!) are more about the luxury rooms, cocktails at the beach bar, and maybe a stretch class before lunch. And that’s fine. It’s the mix that makes it work.

The food is another level—fresh, nourishing, with yogic teas and special menus everywhere. And the spa? Don’t even get me started. I still dream about the Ayurvedic massage I had last year.

Whether you’re looking to go deep or dip your toes into the zen side of life, Octoba Yoga offers something for every kind of wellness traveller. Honestly, it’s the kind of trip you book once and plan yearly.

Octoba Yoga – The Idea

Yoga has always been a top pillar of our wellness journey with our guests.

It’s part of the daily schedule 365 days of the year. However within the context of our “Feature Months” we felt we had to have one month where we celebrate Yoga, Ayurveda and Meditation with visiting Yogis and provide a bonus schedule of events throughout October. Forgive the cute spelling, we couldn’t resist!

Your “Yogi” 2025

Dr. Rebekah Jade

29th September – 14th October

Dr. Rebekah Jade is a London-based medical doctor, yoga teacher, and wellness founder, known for blending medical science with holistic wellness and traditional practices. Across 5 years, she has taught yoga to diverse groups, from elite athletes to community members seeking accessible, transformative wellness.

With a background in physiology and emergency medicine, Rebekah specialises in yoga and breathwork techniques that support athletic recovery, nervous system regulation, and deep rest. She is a Nike yoga trainer and international retreat leader, sharing classes that harmonise strength and stillness, and offering powerful yet accessible experiences for both seasoned yogis and newcomers.

Through her community platform, Pana, Rebekah has dedicated herself to making wellness more inclusive, creating spaces that celebrate connection, culture, and health. Her classes offer a welcoming opportunity to explore a mindful practice that rejuvenates the body, eases the mind, and renews energy — perfect for anyone seeking to unwind, recharge, or embrace a fresh approach to well-being.

Amy-jo Glover

7th – 21st October

Amy’s journey into facilitating yoga immersions began in India in 2018, where she immersed herself in the 5,000-year-old tradition of yogic philosophy. She later graduated from The House of Yoga in Putney, studying the Journey Into Power methodology, and went on to expand her knowledge through further education in Yin yoga and meridian science, sleep restorative practices, sound therapy, energy healing, Reiki, AcroYoga, paddleboard yoga, and breathwork.

Amy always intends to leave people feeling calmer, more restored, and inspired—to reconnect with themselves and their world. She believes in equipping others with a toolbox of time-tested wisdom and scientifically supported practices that can be drawn upon in need. These tools serve as a guide to help individuals find trust, strength, and a deeper sense of inner connection.

Today, she facilitates retreats and private one-on-one immersions worldwide, holding space for transformation through modalities like breathwork, power vinyasa, Yin, restorative yoga, and energy release techniques. She also has a deep passion for surfing and freediving—activities she integrates into her retreats when possible. For her, freediving represents a physical form of meditation, available to anyone willing to learn how to harness the power of breath and the mind.

Her mission is to share this knowledge with as many people as possible. She believes that the world becomes a better place when we stop seeking happiness externally and start trusting that everything we need is already within us. Sometimes, we just need help finding the door—and that is the service she is committed to offering: holding space for those who are ready to show up, learn, and grow.
